Announcing Shop Loyalty

September 16, 2026 ยท Shop Loyalty Blog ยท 5 min read

Today we're announcing Shop Loyalty โ€” a loyalty program built for real shops: fast check-ins, points and punch rewards, smart groups, automated rewards, giveaways, and games.

But the more interesting part isn't the feature list. It's where it was built.

Built inside a real shop, not a conference room

Shop Loyalty wasn't designed from a slide deck. It was built while running the loyalty program at a real ice cream shop โ€” Sweet Aloha Ice Cream in Davie, Florida. Every feature had to survive actual service: a Friday-night line, staff with wet hands, a customer at the counter who just wants their free scoop.

The shop's real data came with us: 17,994 members migrated from the old program, points carried over 1:1. Not a pilot. Not "coming soon." It runs the program at a real shop today โ€” which means every screen, button, and reward rule has been tested where it counts: at the counter, with customers waiting.

That's the standard we held throughout: if a feature made the checkout line slower, it got cut. If it made the program smarter without adding a single step for staff, it stayed.

What Shop Loyalty does

๐Ÿ“ฒ One-tap check-in

Staff check a customer in by phone number or barcode scan โ€” seconds at the counter. Members can even check themselves in from their own phone. Fast lines, wet hands welcome.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Points & punch

Customers earn points every visit, or punch toward a free item. You set the rules โ€” the app keeps the score. No stamps, no cards, no arguing about whether it was 8 punches or 9.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Smart groups

Build groups any way you like โ€” new members, weekly regulars, big spenders, at-risk members who haven't been in a while. Groups update themselves as visits come in, so you're never sorting through a spreadsheet.

โš™๏ธ Automated rewards

This is the heart of it: rewards that fire on their own. Birthday treats on the actual birthday. "We miss you" win-back offers while the customer is still reachable. Signup bonuses. Visit milestones. You set each one once; it runs every day, forever, without anyone remembering anything.

๐ŸŽ Giveaways & contests

Run giveaways, contests, and votes your customers actually enter โ€” you create them, the system executes them, and winners get picked automatically.

๐ŸŽฎ Games & streaks

Visit streaks, check-in games, and events that give customers a reason to come back next week โ€” not just next birthday.

๐Ÿ“Š Know your shop

Visits, spend, signups, and which rewards actually get redeemed โ€” all in one dashboard. (Real insight from our own shop data: customers tell you what a reward is worth. Listen to your redemptions.)

Why "simple" was the whole point

Plenty of loyalty software can do everything, if you're willing to learn everything. Shop Loyalty is built on a different rule: each tool should be simple enough to learn in a minute. The owner sets the rewards once. Staff learn one screen. Customers justโ€ฆ keep getting rewarded, on time, every time.

That's the whole pitch. Loyalty programs fail when they're too much work to run โ€” so we removed the work.
